i've decided to close down much of the site.

nothing constructive, useful or interesting has come from these boards in a long time and i just don't see any future for this site regardless of management.

the regional forum will stay active for a while.

...uhh that sucks. I used the simulation board a lot in order to download sims for hacking or to get advice from people on hacking.

I liked to check chatterbox because I enjoyed being able to see what kind of people out there were still affilliated with the community.

I was also about to ask the Home Versions boards for some help on creating a custom hax PS2 .iso for my gf who has a CF at home.

The guide in Arcade Play for modding pads and fixing up dead sensors helped me hack all of the good working machines in SoCal...

I don't know about the rest of you, and I do know that a few/many of you feel that this site sucks, and I definitely agree that the site (and the ITG scene as a whole) have fallen from the exciting years when the game and community was new, but this site is still tied to a lot of my life and memories. It isn't dead till it's dead, and as quiet as the site is, there's still activity, still history to be a part of and keep track of. I'm in the middle of trying to get the SoCal tournament scene active again and if I can do that I'm going to try and expand elsewhere...There are still those of us out there doing stuff with this game and making memories that are trying to connect with the rest of the players in this country...I'd be sad to see this site die over this or at least not live out the rest of its life doing something more fruitful.

If you want to cut dead branches, then kill Tours/Events, P.R.O., and the IIDX/GF forums, because those have practically no activity (Plus with Pump Pro going as a series the pump board makes sense with the theme of the forum). But I can't imagine any practical need to do this, and I don't think that the rest of this site is a complete waste, it has served many purposes and it still does, even if that's just the ability to find people to get in touch with in order to hear stories/get information...Which I have faithfully used this site for ...for at least 4 years across 5 statelines and 3 countries. It's been a hell of a trip either way...I'd just hate to see it end like this...

Whatever, it's your business, but I'd hate to see this place go, especially after surviving (even if only in part) the shitstorm of hacking and bullshit that has rocked it over the past 3-4 years.

Blah, I check this forum almost every day.

This site is the reason that there still exists 20+ people who play ITG in SoCal actively, and 40+ who come out to events.

ITGFreak/Rhythmatic is my home. I met a lot of my ITG friends here and because of it, I'm in my first community pack project. Obviously, some topics such as already stated: IIDX/GF, Pump and such are not used.

And over my dead body will I go to r21freak. Transitioning from here to AIJ is the only thing I would be willing to do. And ITGfreak allows me to actually see what I am going to be playing in terms of officials through the stepchart section of the website (not the forum), so that has always proven helpful.

EDIT: YOU CLOSED DOWN THE SIMULATION FORUM!?!?! IF ANYTHING, WE NEED THAT PART.

I'd say this is middle-ground for ITG. Either you have superioristic assholes or dumb-asses who don't know shit about ITG imho if this site leaves. This is middle. This is where I'd like to stay.
